The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement in the Miami Valley is asking all women to help America Go Red this year. As we celebrate the 10th annual National Wear Red Day this February 1st, it’s more important than ever for women to stand side-by-side to end heart disease. The movement begins with a kick-off event to raise awareness of the No. 1 killer of women and save women’s lives! The event, which is sponsored by Lincoln College of Technology, will be held on Thursday, January 31st, 2013 at America’s Packard Museum, 420 S. Ludlow Street, Dayton from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. This exciting event will feature healthy refreshments, entertainment and health screenings. Guests will also have an opportunity to visit the museum and view the wonderful cars at no charge. It is free and open to everyone and men are encouraged to attend. Joining in the America Goes Red campaign in Dayton this February and lighting red are Caresource, the Stewart Street Bridge, the Convention Center pedestrian walkway, the Dayton International Airport tower, Calvary Cemetery Chapel, and the Greene Towne Center. Go Red for Women is sponsored locally by Premier Health Partners, Kettering Health Network, Horan, and Compunet Clinical Laboratories. Media sponsors are WDTN-TV, WBDT-TV, LITE 94.5 and Reach USA.
