I love the band My Morning Jacket. From folk to funk, to jazz to classic rock - the Louisville, KY band is undefinable in their musical reach, yet so simply awe-inspiring to me. Tremendous players overall, but the magnetic likeability of frontman Jim James, only compares to his unique talents as a singer, songwriter and musician. Jim James is about to release his first solo album entitled "Regions of Life and Sound of God" on February 5. From what I've heard, it's more abstract than MMJ, but still hypnotic.
