As a die hard Bruce Springsteen fan, I figured I'd pass along the news that a killer fan documentary has just been released called Springsteen and I. Check out the trailer to see what it's all about, and listen to the Liquid Lunch for your chance to win a copy.
Well, new to you and me. They are actually early demo's from 30 years ago. Here's the story.
Guns N' Roses fans are getting a chance to hear a bit of Axl Rose's earliest work. Bravewords.com has posted a short video featuring snippets from what is reportedly the singer's first studio recording. The song's called "Ready To Rumble," by the band Rapidfire.
Rapidfire guitarist Kevin Lawrence is behind the short video. He and Rose cut "Ready To Rumble" in Los Angeles with bassist Mike Hamernik and drummer Chuck Gordon 30 years ago, on May 25th 1983. The recording is from a Rapidfire demo that also featured four other songs, titled "All Night Long," "The Prowler," "On The Run," and "Closure."
